Bill's read on hotels is true of Landing. Three quarters of check-ins never produce a published rating, the survey guests already answer after check-in takes more than twenty taps, and properties that fall under 4.0 lose their rating on the site entirely. This product turns the moment a guest already answers a survey into a one-tap published rating, and routes anyone who is not at five stars to their GM the same day.
August 2026: 1,311 property ratings against 5,162 check-ins. The property survey fires after check-out, when the guest has moved on.
Share of check-ins that answer the in-app check-in survey (25% for same-day bookers). 57% of answers arrive the day after check-in.
August 2026 property survey; 66% year to date. The guests who do answer are mostly happy. The ones who do not are the opportunity.
Today's survey, then the one-page rebuild in Sandy, then this: five stars pre-selected, one tap to post.
A property rated under 4.0 on five or more reviews sorts below everything else in search. Ratings never lift a property. More published five-star ratings are the only way back over the line.
The Austin search page on September 27, 2026. The Stanton at 4.24 shows a 4.2. Mueller Flats at 3.1 on 69 reviews, Bridge at Southpark Meadows at 3.84 on 32, and Lakeline Parmer Lane at 3.0 on 27 show nothing. A shopper cannot tell a hidden rating from a new property, and a missing number reads as something to hide.
SMS and push 24 to 48 hours after check-in, when the guest has slept there. Works with or without the app.
"Post my rating" publishes to the property page. Tap a star to change it. Nothing publishes without a tap.
Goes to the GM as a ticket, never to the page. The guest is asked again only after it is fixed.

Today hellolanding.com shows a property's rating only when it is 4.0 or higher. This product does two things to that rule: it raises the number of properties over the line by publishing the five-star ratings that already exist but never get written, and it gives the properties under the line a recovery path that starts the day after check-in instead of after check-out. When 80% of rated properties are at 4.0 or above, the gate comes off and every rating shows.
Sub-4.0 properties show a blank. Shoppers cannot tell "not rated yet" from "rated 3.1".
Every property with five or more reviews shows its number. The number is the incentive, for guests to post and for the field to fix.
Rated-under-4.0 properties sort last in every search. Each published five-star rating is a step back into the results that convert.
A visible 4.6 on 146 reviews is the cheapest conversion asset on the page. It costs one tap from a guest who already had a good night.
Anything under five reaches the GM on day two, not after check-out. A fixed stay becomes a five-star rating and a repeat guest.
